It's a staggering thing to realize that you only live by someone else's permission. We are created by God, and we're given a choice to live or to die. We live because He created us. We don't live because of any other reason. We can't make ourselves live longer. Longer life is something He grants to us or not, because He will give it to us or not.

So we choose Him, and we then by His grace we will live forever with Him, so we have life, right? But He is still the only one who has life in Himself. We will have His life in us. Throughout eternity, we won't be living of ourselves. Throughout eternity, He will be giving us the gift of life. That is something we should be very thankful for.
