These are a couple of pictures of my latest carving. The lower one is in what I would call "stage two." (Laughing here) It represents about five hours of carving time and about one hour of drawing the picture out on the wood. My wife, who insists she has no artistic ability, helped me fine tune the drawing before I started carving. It's a dragon "overboard," a carving you place over a doorway or header.

I carve them and my wife paints them. The upper one is the result of nearly five more hours of carving, and is closer to being finished. There are probably another three to five hours left to go. I hope to be able to post a finished version before long.
