My dad was talking with my sister when I was kid. He was talking with her about the human body. I think it was the "ashes to ashes, dust to dust" thing that made him remark, "The body is only water and a handful of chemicals." That was about forty years ago. You can get higher estimates today.

The question, "What am I worth?" would probably make most folks think of a monetary value. "What does my portfolio look like?" "How well am I doing financially?" But let's say that we're talking about somebody without any "disposable" money?

In just about every nursing home you can find lonely people in nursing homes, to whom nobody pays a visit. What sort of value do those persons have? They can no longer "contribute" to "society" so they are all but forgotten.

What or who, establishes worth? You may be able to see where I'm going with this. David said;

3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
4 What is man that You are mindful of him,And the son of man that You visit him?
5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels,And You have crowned him with glory and honor. Psalm 8:3-5

It appears we're worth a lot to God. Even though mankind chose to sin and severed a relationship with a loving God, God still loved mankind. We are so valuable to God that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to be the way back to God. He is our Waymaker.
