It's that time of year. I raked up about twenty bags of leaves this morning. It could have been a lot more than that but we've had a lot of wind lately, and I had the huge oak tree in our front yard professionally pruned this year. I viewed that money spent as, "leaves in the bag."
It's really a nice day out and my neighbors were outside, cleaning up their yard as well. It's a nice feeling to work and get a job finished. It's especially nice when the before and after comparison is such a contrast.
And I really enjoy the smells and the breeze blowing. The sun was shining and everything looked beautiful. If a fallen world looks and smells this way, even the most fervent, creative imagination could do no justice to the look and feel of the world the Lord has promised is to come.
